SPECIAL RITUALS

Cord Burning

Cord burning is a beautiful and safe way to honor the moment of separation between baby and placenta. Using beeswax candles, families can create a mindful, communal ceremony that celebrates new life while giving thanks to the placenta.

Beautiful & Safe

Cord burning is a beautiful and safe way to welcome a new baby into your family. As a Licensed Home birth midwife, I have learned to wait for the cord to stop pulsating before severing it. I know how much it benefits the baby to receive all of the blood the placenta has to offer. As your midwife, I seek to honor and hold space for each families individual cultural practices.

Meet Tracy

For more than a decade, I’ve walked alongside families as a midwife, craniosacral therapist, and herbalist. With over 450 births attended and countless newborns supported, I offer evidence-based care rooted in trust, compassion, and deep respect for each family’s unique journey.
TESTIMONIALS

Kind Words From Our Families

I will forever be filled with gratitude for their tireless commitment to keep me in my own power, keep me informed on all of my choices and always making me feel safe and supported.

We could not have been more blessed having Tracy as part of our support team throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum! Confident, capable, sweet and caring, we felt informed, supported and genuinely cared for throughout our process. Any concerns we had were met with experienced answers and support.

My midwives provided the family support and feel I was yearning for during such an intense time in my life. The support they offered was an anchor in keeping me calm and happy throughout my labor and delivery experience. My life and my families’ lives are forever changed, because of who the midwives are, and what they provided for us during this beautiful experience.

Tracy created and held a space of love, compassion and support that was exactly what we had envisioned for the birth of our daughter. Her knowledge and experience made us feel safe and well informed in our decisions, this continued after the birth as she provided amazing in home postpartum care for our baby and us as parents.

We knew even before we met Tracy that she would be the perfect midwife for us. There were many synchronicities that led us to her, and I knew immediately that she would be the best choice for my little man’s arrival. She kept a very calm loving space and was always there when I needed her but was never intrusive. You can tell that she cares about every aspect of being a midwife from caring for you while pregnant, through the birth and after your little one has arrived.

Throughout our third trimester, labor, birth and postpartum weeks, Tracy was a wise, loving, calm, respectful and comforting presence.

We could not have been more blessed having Tracy as part of our support team throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum! Confident, capable, sweet and caring, we felt informed, supported and genuinely cared for throughout our process. Any concerns we had were met with experienced answers and support. During labor and birth, we felt prepared and in good hands. Tracy and Olympia truly work from their hearts. The transition into motherhood has been beautiful, but quite challenging, and having such a loving and capable team was crucial for our family. I deeply appreciate these women and they will always hold a very special place in my heart!

My life and my families’ lives are forever changed, because of who the midwives are, and what they provided for us during this beautiful experience. Thank you for delivering our family into the hands of a serene birthing experience!

We are grateful for the experience of bringing our child into this world gently with Tracy by our sides.

Choosing Tracy as our midwife was the perfect fit for our family. She generously shared her knowledge and wisdom while always supporting our family’s decisions and informed choices. Our appointments with Tracy always felt spacious and thorough. The way she gently acknowledged our unborn baby made us all feel well cared for. During our birth, Tracy helped me and my whole family feel safe. When I found myself in moments of doubt, her kind touch and clear eyes helped me relax, let go, and birth our baby. Just as she had cared for us during pregnancy, her care of us after the birth was perfect for our family. Even now I know I can call Tracy anytime with questions about parenthood, as I have, and that she will be present and open to sharing from her life experience as a midwife and mother. Tracy will always have a special place in all our hearts, and I highly recommend her as a midwife.
