- Continued labor support by midwife if hospital transfer is necessary
Postpartum Care for
Mother & Child
- Continuous care and support in the immediate postpartum
- Breastfeeding support and guidance
- Complete physical exam of newborn
- 24/7 availability to you and your newborn in the days and weeks following birth
- Postpartum visits at your home on Day 1, Day 3, and Day 7, Week 2, Week 4 and Week 6-8, during which I check in on feeding and sleeping patterns, weigh the baby, monitor the mother’s healing process and reflect on the birth
- Newborn screening is offered

Well Woman
- Well-woman care including routine PAP tests, breast exams, reproductive counseling, nutritional counseling, and breastfeeding questions/concerns
- Pregnancy tests and lab work
- Family Planning
- Pre-conceptual counseling
- Herbal and homeopathic support for women’s health
Well-woman exams include performing the annual Pap Smear, appropriate lab work if needed, breast exam, and referrals.
Your Village Midwife supports and provides care for VBAC and water births.
